Blue Angels

What a great day. It's one thing to see the Blue Angels on TV but quite another to catch 'em live in all their thunderous glory! The other highlight was the absolutely amazing aerobatic routine put on by Patty Wagstaff (that's her in her Extra 300S in the 1st set of aerobatic shots below). All the pilots were top notch, but Patty was in another league.

My buddy Steve Barrado took these shots with my Nikon D70 while I shot video. Fellow MDRA member/microphone Neil McGilvray made the trip down. He was a little confused however, since nothing crashed, shredded or cato'ed (oh yea, that's right - Neil wasn't actually flying anything), but I think he enjoyed the show nonetheless:)
