Rocket people like to talk about their rockets so it's no surprise that there is a huge amount of information available on the Web. I've organized this links page by:

Clubs and Organizations
Personal Web Sites
Online
Rocketry Vendors

Clubs and Organizations
  • National Association of Rocketry - The National Association of Rocketry is the oldest and largest sport rocketry organization in the world. Since 1957, over 80,000 serious rocket modelers have joined the NAR to take advantage of the fun and excitement of organized rocketry!

  • Tripoli Rocketry Association - Tripoli is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement and operation of amateur high power rocketry. Its members are drawn from the United States and 22 additional countries across the globe.

  • Maryland Delaware Rocketry Association - The group I fly most with, MDRA supports the Certification programs of NAR and Tripoli. We're active, with usually one launch per month scheduled. Definitely come join us if you're in the area!

  • Colonial Virginia High Power Rocketry - Information on rocketry activities in Virgina, North and South Carolina, Maryland. The prefects here co-host Battle Park, a Tripoli tradition held in Culpepper Virginia, and my first high power rocket launch in 1999.

  • METRA - The Metropolitan Rocketry Association/Tripoli prefecture North Jersey #94 has a big beautiful sod farm launch site in Middletown NY. A great bunch of folks too. What more could you want?

Personal Web Sites
  • VA Rocketry - Scott McCluskey's excellent site, here you'll find information on high power rocketry construction techniques, including military and 2 stage projects.

  • Wedge Oldham's Site - Home of the awesome Nike Hercules and full scale Black Brandt projects, what will Wedge do next? :))

  • John Coker Rocketry - There's a wealth of great information on John's site. Tips, techniques, how-to's, you name it. His Rocketry Online "How-To" Classroom series on the EZI-65 was my introduction to HPR building techniques.

Online/Magazine
  • Rocketry Planet - By the original founder of ROL, Rocketry Planet is the most current, happening  hobby rocketry website around. Check here first for news and all things rocketry.

  • Rocketry Online - News, reviews, forums, auctions, classifieds, articles, and much more, ROL is the original rocketry web portal.

  • InfoCentral - If you need rocket building information fast, this is the place to go.

  • Extreme Rocketry - One of 2 magazines devoted to high power rocketry, it has content for the beginner and expert alike along with timely delivery.

Rocketry Vendors
  • Missile Works - I've relied upon Missile Works timers and altimeters since day one. The quality of Jim Amos's products is exceeded only by his great service.

  • Loki Research - Owned and operated by Jeff Taylor, Loki's products include experimental rocketry hardware and software, the excellent ARTS recording altimeter which I now use in everything, and new this year, certified motors in the H-J range with more coming.

  • Spherachutes - I just can't say enough good things about Spherachutes. I love circular canopies anyway, but Shane goes above and beyond in service, with speedy delivery of custom parachutes at reasonable prices. I use them whenever I can.
